How this site is ecodesigned
We tried to limit the resources this simulator uses, on your device and on the network. Here is what was measured, what was done, and what these figures don't tell you.
Measured at first load, in production (8 October 2026)
- EcoIndex score
- 80/100 (A)
- Transferred weight
- 57 kB
- Requests
- 1
- Page elements
- 90
- Estimated emissions per visit
- ≈ 0.26 gCO₂e
- Estimated water per visit
- ≈ 0.04 cl
What was done
- A single self-contained page: styles, code and font fit in one file.
- A minimal UI library (Preact, about 4 kB) instead of React.
- A single font, cut down to the characters used (14 kB); the rest of the text uses your device's font.
- Lightweight audience measurement: Umami Cloud (EU-hosted), no cookies or personal data; no request at load, only a few anonymous events (verdict reached, pages opened); “Do Not Track” respected. No other third-party service, no external fonts.
- Calculations run in your browser: no data is sent anywhere.
- Content built on demand: the tabs are only rendered when opened; Method, Ecodesign and Legal notice are separate pages, loaded only if you open them.
- Charts in HTML and CSS, without a charting library.
- Dark theme follows your system; animations are reduced if you ask for it.
Limits
EcoIndex estimates the impact of the first load from three measurements (elements, requests, weight); it is neither an energy measurement nor a certification. The audit used Green Claude (Institut du Numérique Responsable), a self-assessment tool based on the French RGESN 2024 framework, which is not a declaration of conformity. Hosting: Infomaniak, in Switzerland, a single file served compressed; the host publishes environmental commitments (energy, heat recovery) that we have not independently verified. The audience measurement does not count visits without interaction.
